Overview: Laurie is the owner of Harmony Life, LLC, providing Feng Shui design, consultations and training. She is also the CEO of the International Feng Shui Guild, working to establish standards for practitioners and schools within the Feng Shui community.
Biography: I first became aware of Feng Shui just over 13 years ago. Though Feng Shui was new to me, I found that the principles were surprisingly familiar and that was very intriguing! So intriguing that I decided to begin studying and training. At that time, Feng Shui was still quite new to the United States and was just filtering into the world of design.
As Feng Shui has gained in popularity, it has continued to evolve and adapt, making it one of the oldest methods of holistic healing- healing through the environment.
Feng Shui is classically referred to as the Chinese Art of Placement or by it's literal translation, wind and water. For me, it is so much more. I believe that we are all profoundly affected by the environments we inhabit and through the principles of Feng Shui we are able to improve the quality of our lives by making changes in our environments! Isn't that an amazing thing? Just by changing the way we think and the environments we inhabit, we have the power to improve the quality of our lives!
Over the past 14 years I've watched my business expand and grow to include a blend of methods and techniques from holistic design, the principles of Feng Shui and the power of life coaching. During this time it has been my joy to guide entrepreneurs to success, certify Interior Alignment Feng Shui practitioners and assist homeowners in the creation of spaces that welcome them with comfort and style.
With each of my services I adapt my methods to meet the needs of my students and clients, securely embracing them with a sense of comfort and personalized focus. As your teacher and coach, I will gently guide you along the journey. Laurie is active in the International Feng Shui Guild where she serves as both the CEO and the Education Director; working to establish standards for practitioners and schools within the Feng Shui community.
