Biography: Brenda holds a graduate degree in psychology, and she is also a certified professional coach specializing in the management of children's difficult behavior due to neurobiological influences such as ADD, ADHD, ODD, and Asperger's Syndrome. She serves as an educator/coach for a Metro-Atlanta medical center. Additionally, she serves as an adjunct college faculty member, where she teaches Psychology. She is currently designing a Continuing Education program for educators and others dealing with children for the University System. Brenda works with state agencies specializing in Adoption and Foster Families. She leads workshops and seminars for Adoption Agencies as a Parent Educator. She is Georgia's only certified Nurtured Heart Approach Specialist to date. Brenda has done post-graduate work in Neurolinguistics, The Neurological Basis of Individuality, Philosophy, and Spirituality. She is a published author of articles pertaining to relationship stress and parenting. Her first book on AD/HD is due out this summer. Her work has been featured in magazines and newspapers. Brenda's passion is teaching adults practical information, strategies and techniques for managing "challenging behavior" that will make life easier for them. Her work will be featured in an upcoming book about practitioners that use The Nurtured Heart Approach.
