Biography: I was born and raised in Manhattan, NYC.
Attended schools in NYC and New England and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College in 1958.
I participated in the Civil Rights movement in the South and in Chicago and founded and edited Renewal Magazine in Chicago.
I was married and raised a family with three great kids. We ended up spending the 70s in Stockbridge, MA, where I wrote music and performed in New England.

My songs have been performed by country artists including Roy Clark, Bobby Bare and Mel Tillis.
I am remarried and live in Manhattan a stones throw from Macy's.
My most recent employment was as a writer and consultant to UN agencies and as editor of CHOICES which was the flagship publication of UNDP.
Politically and religiously I would describe myself as an independent. Musically I am definitely in the folk tradition going back to the old Folkways and Stinson days. Personally I love the Web and keeping up with its fast-moving development. And I am in heaven with my good bride, a journalist and the most generous and loving person I know.Each day is a wonder.
