Biography: Sharon Fox has been in the kitchen since she was 4 years old. As a child, her favorite toy was a complete kitchen set given to her by a dear family friend and babysitter. She pretended to cook and serve everyone who came to visit. As a pre-teen, Sharon looked up to her great-grandmother and aunt. Learning to garden and prepare food for canning and freezing, churning ice cream, and making pound cakes were among her favorite things to do. Later, she looked to her step-father for cooking skills. He showed her all of his special barbeque skills and how to create sauces. By age 13 Sharon was creating her own dishes. As an adult she has owned a catering business, designed wedding cakes, taught cooking classes, and worked as a Private Chef. Today you can find Sharon in her office 6-7 days a week, preparing to release her first of a series of cookbooks. She is not only the author, but a self published author! In her first book, Comfort Food for the Mind, Body, and Soul, Sharon walks you through some devastating experiences of Childhood Sexual Abuse and other life lessons of faith and trust in God. Her book is set to release on April 30, 2011. She will launch her Southern Hospitality Protect Our Children Tour then, bringing awareness and resources to communities all over the country. Using a portion of her own book sales to keep the tour active, Sharon says this is a cause she will support for the rest of her life.
