Biography: My name is Marissa Newman, owner and lead designer for Be-Jeweled. I've always been drawn to creating objects of beauty...from stained glass crafting, to ceramics, and for the past ten years, jewelry crafting. I began making jewelry for my family, friends, and now, for my growing list of satisfied clients. I incorporate stones, crystals, beads and findings to craft one-of-a kind jewelry pieces. I craft designs for casual daily wear as well as designs meant for special occasions.
I also own Madame Tarot where I read the cards to many satisfied clients. About 11 years ago my husband, 4 children and I were on a day trip to the ocean near our home in Northern California. We stopped and visited a little store along the beach. It was in this store that I purchased my first Tarot deck.
I became [obsessed] with reading the cards. I loved the artwork and the symbols and learning the meanings of the cards. I found that the cards helped me to discover issues that I was avoiding in my life. It showed me fears that I was not acknowledging so I could move past problems and better myself and my relationships.
I am a member of the [American Tarot Association], ATA, and subscribe to their code of ethics as well as my own.
