Overview: I am a former NFL player with a variety of interests, I started this podcast to help educate people about Real Estate investing.
Biography: Enoch DeMar is an entrepreneur, percussionist, DJ, motivational speaker and professional athlete. The first son and second child born to artistic and musical parents, he began learning to play West African drums and Latin percussion as a toddler. He and his older sister accompanied thier parents from the Midwest to Washington DC to learn from master drummers and percussionists in the Afro- Cuban and west African drum and dance traditions. During his pre-teen and teenage years he performed with his family troupe, Xangwe, in addition to forming a jazz ensemble called Sweet Jazz with three childhood friends , performing in a weekly music program called CFX at the Indianapolis Childrenâ??s Museum. As a teen, he assisted his father in the instruction of beginner and inermediate level drum techniques. Immersed in all aspects of music from instrumentation to production, as well as being a self- professed technology junkie, he has managed to nurture his love of music and desire to create a tangible vehicle through which he can exposure others to his rich musical tradition. Music and education have remained important themes throughout his life as his path has found him in much larger public arenas.
Enoch DeMar stands apart from the crowd ot only because of his 6'5 frame, but his desire to impart life wisdom to young people that often only comes through trial and error. He encourages children to pursue his/her dreams while maintaining his/ her uniqueness and self esteem. He recognized early on that many children idolize athletes without knowing the full reality of playing professional sports. In his visits, which are almost always highly animated and colored with humorous anecdotes and hand gestures, he tells the students to always have a back- up plan and develop skills outside of athletics that will help them become well- rounded individuals. Children and adults alike respond to Enoch because of his humble demeanor and ability to relate to young people on their level.
