Full Comment: I recently found the AMD podcast and already I am hooked. Some wonderful movie discussion, funny skits and some amazing original songs nearly every episode. The Trancers, Vigilante and Dohler episodes were the shit! Keep them coming brother!

Full Comment: I was hesitant to listen to this, as Don was a very close friend of mine - as well as a mentor. I tire of people making fun of his movies, so it was with relief that - while some good natured fun was poked at the films - overall the respect due to Don was given. I thank you for that. You really should check out his later movies. HARVESTERS is basically a remake of BLOOD MASSACRE. DEAD HUNT is an incredible film that shows just how competent Don had gotten behind the camera. We are busy working on CRAWLER, Don's last sci-fi movie - and hope to premiere it in 2012. One thing I would like to point out about the doc on Don: Joe Ripple is not a bad guy, though for purposes of drama it is made to seem like there is more tension there than there was. Don was NEVER a pushover or got steam-rolled to do anything. He'd speak his mind and use authority when he had to. He gave a lot of people their start in Hollywood, and I hope he is remembered for the low budget genius that he was. Good podcast. Regards, Robert Long filmmaker
