Inviting your friends to a Live Talkcast
August 23, 2007 at 9:54 pm | Author: TalkShoe Team | In TalkShoe Tips |
There are many ways to get more live participants and friends on your live Talkcasts. Here are some of the more popular ones used: 1) use the TalkShoe Invitation function when you create a new episode, and again a day before the Talkcast, and again right before the Talkcast, 2) post your show info on your MySpace, Facebook, Blogs, etc., 3) email people from you email lists - expect a 5-10% return rate, 4) Twitter your Twitter friends, 5) put Talkcast info in your email signature, and 6) pick up the telephone and call them! One wordpress suggestion, wordpress does ordered lists good. I did not check your CSS to see if it deals with them properly, but to make this post more readable, I would suggest checking hat.
::: More ideas :::
- think of how you would build a fanbase for a band
- have a google calendar where you keep your show schedule up to date & promote it. This will cause your fans to receive updates.
- make sure your show is better live then tape delayed - this could be through audience participation or time sensitive information.
- From the Artist Insider interview with Andrew Peterson - You never hear people say ‘I went to hear a Navona Concert’, they say ‘I went and saw an Navona Concert’”. - make it worth being at live.
