Former Penn State Football Player to host on TalkShoe

Pittsburgh, PA- August 28, 2006 - Former Penn State football player Bill Contz has agreed to host a new Internet Penn State sports talk show. The broadcast will feature live listeners who can talk and chat using TalkShoe’s website. The first show will be broadcast over the Internet on Wednesday, August 30, 2006, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m., and future Wednesdays thereafter.

Users can find the Internet show titled: PSU Football Insider - A Lion’s ROAR on the TalkShoe website ( Recordings of all shows will also be available on the TalkShoe website for listening, downloading and podcasting to iPods and MP3 players. It will also be listed on iTunes and other podcast directories.

PSU Football Insider - A Lion’s ROAR promises in depth analysis, insight and lively dialogue on a weekly basis. It will also offer post-game analysis, discussion and commentary from current and former Penn State players and coaches.  Topics will include a review of past week’s game, previews of Penn State’s upcoming opponents, online Q&A as well as a special “where are they now?” segment. ROAR is an acronym for Rhetorical Observations And Rebuttals.

Bill Contz (Penn State class of 1983) was a Nittany Lion and NFL player. He was a three year letterman and starter on Penn State’s first-ever national championship team in 1982. Bill spent seven years in the NFL, and has served as a guest host on Steeler post-game talk shows on KDKA.
